The museum «House of the Stationmaster» is the first museum heroes of the literary in Russia. It was inaugurated on October 15, 1972 in the Vyra village (Gatchina district, Leningrad region), in the buildings of the old postal station. At the time of A. Pushkin, the postal route passed through here, connecting St. Petersburg to the provinces of western and southern Russia. Vyra was the third station of the capital, where travelers rested and traded their horses. Thirteen times A.Pushkin has stayed at this post office.

Historical quest game for fairy tales of A. Pushkin «What a beauty these fairy tales are!» Duration – 1 hour.
Museum lesson «There are miracles there, the devil wanders there» (the mythology of the Russian people in the fairy tales of A. Pushkin). Duration – 1 hour.
«Maslenitsa» (traditions of Pancake week, dances, games). Duration – 1 hour.
Theatrical production «The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish». Duration – 15 minutes.

«How a shirt grew in the field». Each stage of the cultivation, processing and manufacturing of flax was accompanied by sacred rites. Each province had their own rites and traditions. A special role in the manufacture of linen took spinning. «The quality of a shirt depends on the kind of a spinner», proverbial wisdom said. Participants of the master class will try to twist the thread with the help of a spindle, weave a small fragment on a simple loom and take it as a gift.

«Dolls-charms. Making Dolls-Podorojnitca». In the old days, every boy and girl up to 7 years old had his own doll. Each ritual doll had its own purpose, they were made on a special occasion, they were given to relatives. Doll-Podorojnitca gave the road to a wanderer, so that luck would accompany him. You will get acquainted with unusual dolls and their history at a master class. Each participant will make a special doll «Podorojnitca» and take it with him.

«Bless me, my belt-obereg». Belt has been a mandatory addition to the male and female traditional Russian costume. The belt was a woven or knitted strip of wool or half-woolen fabric with a width of 3 to 15 cm and a length of up to 250 cm. There were twisted, woven, stitched, knitted belts, for the manufacture of which special tools were used. In addition to the practical importance of fixing clothes on the human body, the protective, sign and aesthetic functions of the belt were very important. At the master class, participants will learn the basics of weaving a belt in different techniques: «twitching», «on a daisy», «waving».

«Top Naboika (hemming) on the fabric». The hemming is an old traditional technique of drawing a picture on the fabric with the help of a wooden printed board with a relief ornament. Top Naboika is paint printing on fabric. The board was made entirely of wood, the pattern was cut on both sides. Next, the board was smeared with oil paint, put on top of moistened canvas and rolled with a wooden roll so that the pattern imprinted on the fabric. Such fabric was called naboika. They not only sewed clothes from printed fabrics, but also banners, tents, curtains, and church vestments. Participants of the master class will make memorable souvenirs in the technique of top «Naboika» (hemming) on fabric.
